Who We Are
Heidi Haskins, MSN
Functional Health Coach
Heidi is a long-time advocate for children’s health. While working with children in healthcare for 20 years, ranging from critical care to primary care, she has come to realize that our “sick-care” model offers little for preventing chronic disease in children. While navigating through health issues within her own family, receiving extensive training in Functional and Integrative Medicine and holistic approaches, and working alongside like-minded pediatricians, she has learned that a focus on the underlying (root) cause of symptoms is vital for finding true healing.
Taking a new direction, Heidi is now using her knowledge and experience to provide coaching for parents and their children. By taking a deeper look at nutritional, environmental, and lifestyle factors, she seeks to identify and address the underlying issues that have contributed to a child’s health symptoms and provides parents the support needed to optimize their children’s health. She is a firm believer that our kids’ bodies hold an innate ability to heal, and parents CAN take better control of their children’s health if given the tools and support to do so!
Heidi holds a BA in Biology from Westmont College, a BS in Nursing from Georgetown University, as well as a Master of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University. She is a Certified Health Coach through Dr. Sears Wellness Institute.
Heidi lives in Redding, CA with her husband and 8-year-old son. She enjoys being out in nature, playing music and tennis, and sharing life in community.
